Pack 24: Resources

-

Lion is a family-oriented program. A youth and their parent or caring adult partner join Scouting together. A group of six to eight Cub Scouts and their adult partners meet together in a group called a den. Dens typically meet twice a month for den meetings, plus a monthly pack meeting that brings all dens together.
The Lion program forms a strong foundation for a lifetime of fun and meaningful family adventures. To earn the Lion badge, a Scout completes 6 required adventures plus any 2 elective adventures of their choosing:
Required Adventures
-
Bobcat (designed to be completed first)
-
King of the Jungle
-
Lion's Pride
-
Mountain Lion
-
Fun on the Run
-
Lion Roar
Elective Adventures — Lions can choose from a wide range of electives covering topics like camping, fishing, cycling, STEM, and more. Dens and families can pick whichever electives fit their interests and schedule.
There's no required order beyond starting with Bobcat. Dens should use local climate and other considerations to determine the best order for delivering the rest of the adventures.
Scout Handbooks
The scout handbooks provided here are older and need to be combined with the addendum to get the current requirements.
We encourage all scouts to purchase a hard copy of the handbook for their specific rank.
